When the Hillel organization from Washington, D.C. approached Syracuse University about building a center for their activities at the university, they asked for a recommendation of a design team to create a notable building and lead the project through completion.  Architecteam was the lone recommendation and was pleased to see the structure through to completion in the summer of 2003.  The 16,000 SF building is a student center for the cultural enrichment and celebration of Jewish life for students at Syracuse University.  The main level opens to a central atrium and contains a multi-purpose auditorium, surrounded by lounge spaces, recreation rooms and offices.  At the lower level students and staff enjoy kitchen and dining facilities for 200 people, a library and meeting room.  The upper story houses spaces for student activities and conferences.  The exterior provides a patio for social events overlooking Walnut Park.
