  • Eight luxury condominiums overlooking Otsego Lake
  • Three-acre sloping site including a lakeside gazebo and two-story boathouse
  • Post-and-beam structures

Arrowhead Pointe is a unique waterfront enclave designed to provide eight luxury condominiums on a three-acre sloping site overlooking Otsego Lake north of Cooperstown, New York. Lakefront amenities at this residential community include a two-story common boathouse, with spaces for entertainment and family gatherings, as well as storage for personal watercraft. Also, a rustic lakeside gazebo provides shelter and accent between the richly landscaped pool area and the sandy beach below at lake’s edge.

The large diameter post and beam structures were handcrafted with traditional joinery and pre-assembled in British Columbia, Canada, using Douglas fir and western cedar logs. After transcontinental shipment to the site, these structural elements were reassembled and finished by local craftsmen. Upon completion of the structural framework, the exterior bays were in-filled with expansive use of glass, stone, and shingles, and capped with large roof overhangs where ascending pediments were articulated with log king post trusses.

At Arrowhead Pointe the rustic timber frame and delicate decorative elements were designed to reflect the traditional artistic spirit found in the Adirondack Great Camps, Western Rustic Lodges, and East Coast shingle styled houses. This collection of structures creates a bold expression of new lake country architecture in Central New York.
